Welcome to WOBL "Gold Country" 1320 AM and 107.7 FM
On Christmas Eve of 1971, Harry Wilber broadcast his first words and played the first record on WOBL Radio on (then) AM 1570. From day one, WOBL 1320AM has kept its finger on the pulse of the community it serves.

43 years later, WOBL Radio remains one of the longest running country music stations in Ohio. The station currently broadcasts under the "Gold Country" banner staying loyal to the genre’s roots with a classic country format.

WOBL Radio is still owned and operated by the Wilber family. Harry’s son, Doug, and his wife, Lorie, maintain what Harry started over 4 decades ago. Doug says he’s most proud of the positive impact the station has in Lorain County…from its award winning coverage of high school sports, to its outstanding news coverage, to the public service it provides and gives back to the community through local charities.
